Geirangerfjord by CalleHoglund Geirangerfjord by CalleHoglund
If you want to read more about this place and never heard of it before: [link]

We got there at night, staying at the camping just at the shore of the fjord. I don't know if there are a camping anywhere else in the world that comes near this view. This shot is taken just a few meters from the camping site. We were 2-3 people standing there taking our pictures.

I didn't have time or money for that matter to buy my ND grad filters from Lee or Singh Ray. So this trip I still had to do double exposures and the do my shit in Photoshop to get it the way I initially want to take it in the future.

It was so must more majestic standing there watching this and having to walk backwards from time to time to escape the merging tide, then what I can reproduce. But I hope that you get some idea of how beautiful it is there.

Cheers!

Beautiful scene. The sky is great and the rocks in the foreground are very interesting in the composition.

Great scenery. The mountains could be a bit brighter, they lack a little bit details but the atmosphere and light is great!!

Det var en kanon resa.
Fint väder hela tiden faktiskt. Fick lite ont om tid i slutet så vi hann bara promenera i Trondheim en timma innan vi fick dra vidare.

Tack!

Så synd at du fikk lite tid!

Great shot again! The colours are especially mesmerising in this piece.

I know it's so frustrating to be unable to capture the breathtaking beauty of those special places, but I think you've done a fine job. To me it looks perfect, but to you it probably looks like a pale facsimile of what you wanted to capture...

Btw, with all these shots from Norway, I'm just stunned by how clear the water is: it's like glass!

Im not sure that I will take better shots with the filters I want to buy, but it will be a hell of a lot more fun to do a lot more when I'm out taking shots "in camera" instead of keeping my ideas in the head and make them come true first after post processing them. I bet I'm gonna keep on making slight changes in the computer anyhow, but I would at least try and keep it to a minimum.

About the water I just think I got lucky, there was no wind for most of the week.
And maybe the surrounding mountains was helping a bit as well =]

I know what you mean: I always prefer to get the shot 'right' in the camera, rather than trying to fix it in post processing. I hope you get your filters soon.

As for getting lucky with the water, I remember a saying: 'The harder I work, the luckier I get', or something like that! :)

Of course, the reflections always seem more fascinating to me... especially the richness and depth in colour, like pigments rolled around in oil, lit with small flares of fiery light.

Yeah Sweden is not a bad place to live in either, but its hard to compete with the bigger mountains and the fjords I must say.
I wanted to stop all the time to, not that popular everytime =]
